I Lift You; You Lift Me

There are different times and seasons in our lives— sometimes we’re able to lift up others, sometimes we are the ones who need to be lifted. These two women, taking turns carrying one another, represent the reciprocal nature of many friendships and familial relationships in my life.

I designed the border to reflect those times and seasons in our lives. Around the figures are various fruits and flowers that bloom and ripen in specific seasons. Starting in the top right and moving counter-clockwise, the seasons change from summer, to fall, to winter, and then to spring.
